Somehow it’s March already, but we’re still here with ten more new releases to add to our Discovery playlist on Spotify and Apple Music – including two singles we exclusively premiered earlier in the week. Adelaide indie rockers Sunsick Daisy take Track of the Week with their brand new single “Waiting For”.

Following on from October’s “Pale Blue”, new single “Waiting For” sees the trio continue to expand their eclectic sound while still keeping their signature shoegaze atmospherics at the core of everything they do. “Waiting For” captures the emotional tension of trying to define a relationship and offers up a lovely dual vocal combo up front. The band’s tour drive soundtracks have seeped into this one as well, with lots of Glen Campbell listening bringing a touch of the countryfied heartache to the mix too.

If you’re in Adelaide you can catch the band opening for Pacific Avenue this Saturday at Hindley Street Music Hall. Tickets available HERE.

We’ve been obsessed with all things Aldous Harding for years, so the arrival of new music from the New Zealand artist is always something of an event. Harding has just shared the mesmerising new single “One Stop”, the first taste of her forthcoming fifth studio album Train On The Island, due out on 8 May 2026. It marks her first new material since the brilliant Warm Chris in 2022, and it’s safe to say the wait has been worth it. As always, she flies in the face of the obvious, mixing up cadence and melodies. Stick this on high-rotation and you will applaud the art behind it.

Kaiyah Mercedes dives into the emotional fallout of a whirlwind relationship on the gripping new single “3 Month Blackout”. Driven by punchy guitars and dynamic percussion, the track channels the chaos and clarity that come with moving on, balancing moments of intensity with quieter, reflective passages. Do checkout the video as well – it’s brilliant. It has Kaiyah and her bandmates crash landing on a desert island and their quest for survival.

AU favourite Mia Kelly is back with another new single this week and is bringing Australia’s own Kim Churchill along for the ride. “Times Easy To Blame” is a song all about growing up, falling in love, and navigating all those inevitable hurdles that life tends to throw your way. It’s a gorgeous slice of folk inflected pop – full of warmth, shine and just joyful energy. Kelly and Churchill’s vocals aside – which are top drawer – there’s some lovely instrumentation working in the background here too. You can currently catch Kelly at the Port Fairy Folk Festival this weekend and then a handful of more dates before she heads back to Canada for a cross-country tour with Churchill. For more information head HERE.

Sydney duo Salarymen keep the momentum rolling with the extended edition of their debut album, Take It Or Leave It, arriving alongside the new single “Borrowed Time”. Fresh from a massive UK tour supporting DMA’S and Old Mervs, the band return with an atmospheric blend of psych-pop and indie rock, pairing hazy, reverb-soaked guitars and warbly synths with lush harmonies. As Renee de la Motte explains, in a world increasingly obsessed with youth, women in music are often made to feel their relevance has a shelf life long before their artistry has had the chance to fully mature.

The duo will continue to take on the road with Australian headline shows this March and a showcase at The Great Escape in the UK this May. Head HERE for tickets for the Australian tour

Ahead of the release of their EP EPeepee later this month Glasgow duo Cowboy Hunters have released the collection’s heaviest, most poignant, and perhaps most tongue-in-cheek track – “Shag Slags Not Flags”. It’s safe to say this one won’t be getting a huge amount of airplay on public radio and that there is explicit lyrics should come as absolutely no surprise. It’s unabashedly political, with the duo taking aim firmly at the sea of social media keyboard warrior racists that have flooded the internet in recent years. It’s also kinda catchy, with witty lyrics delivered with a delightful irreverence and a sort of sludgy atmospheric charm.

Also added to the playlist this week is “If I Was A Mother”, the latest single from Oslo indie quartet Veps and their forthcoming third album ChurchyardStreet 8B (Out May 29th); and “Caroline” from Tasmania’s Nice House – the band’s first new music since  the release of their debut EP The Life and Death of an Indoor Houseplant in April 2025.

We have also added two premieres from earlier in the week – with “Pull the Plug” from Social Strangers and “Somebody New” from Odd Marshall.

Catch all the new music updated every Friday on Apple Music:

and on Spotify:

Here’s the complete list of new additions this week:
