NEED TO KNOW
Nicholas Braun appeared on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live and talked about dating in the public eye
The woman he’s now dating “would see things on DeuxMoi and that was frustrating for someone who could potentially be a girlfriend,” he said
Asked if it was “annoying or amusing” to become a “staple” on DeuxMoi, the Sheep Detectives star said, “both”
Nicholas Braun is opening up about the realities of dating after fame.
“People would take pictures from afar,” the Succession alum, 38, recalled on a new episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. “They spot you at restaurants and they would spot me on dates, which was annoying for the other girls that I was trying to date.”
Host Andy Cohen, 57, asked Braun what it was like becoming a regular subject on gossip account DeuxMoi — and whether the attention felt “annoying, amusing, or both.”
“I guess both,” admitted the star of The Sheep Detectives (in theaters tomorrow). “It was like, ‘Okay.’ Bunch of narcs out there.”
As Andy Cohen pointed out, dating in the public eye can mean being seen “out with a different girl” — and then hearing from other women who spotted it online.
“Sometimes,” agreed Braun. “The girl who I’m now with, when I was dating her early days, she would see things on DeuxMoi and that was frustrating for someone who could potentially be a girlfriend.”

He added, “But, you know, that is dating. It’s just like you’re being watched. And I wasn’t even dating that much. But it was COVID and people were psychos.”

Braun stars with Hugh Jackman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, Brett Goldstein, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau, Emma Thompson, Kobna Holbrook-Smith, Nicholas Galitzine and more in murder-mystery comedy The Sheep Detectives, in theaters tomorrow, May 8.
