Nick Jonas and Brandon Lake have released two new collaborations — “Hope (Remix)” and “The Author” — and they’re already performing them live together.
Jonas joined Lake onstage at his hometown show in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Friday to perform “The Author,” just hours after it dropped.
“Hope (Remix)” is an updated version of Jonas’ Sunday Best song with added vocals from Lake, while “The Author” is a new track the two wrote together during one of Lake’s writing camps late last year.
The collaboration also aligns with Jonas’ recent return to faith. He was raised in the church by a pastor, and the Jonas Brothers originally set out to make Christian music before moving into pop. In recent years, Jonas has spoken about coming back to his faith after a period of distance, a thread that runs through his latest solo album, Sunday Best.
Both songs are now available on streaming platforms.
