Nick Jonas gets candid about anxiety
Nick Jonas has opened up about his anxiety issues as he promotes his new single Gut Punch.
The Jonas Brothers star took to Instagram to talk about his new song on New Year’s Day.
Speaking of the past year he said “2026 is here, guys. Wow, what a year 2025 was. One of my favorite years of my life, to be honest.”
“Today I am feeling all of the start-of-the-year feelings: reflective, definitely a little anxiety but I’m just gonna kind of curb that for a minute and just say that I wanted to put Gut Punch out on this day specifically for all those feelings.”, he continued.
The pop star said he wants to put out more music for those “who might be feeling the same way”.
He also commented on the general public pressure to put your best foot forward at the beginning of a new year saying “There’s a lot of pressure to be the perfect version of yourself at the start of the year and that’s just not possible and that’s ok.”
The father-of-one encouraged viewers to be grateful and compassionate with their loved ones.
He shared the video with the message “Feeling sentimental. Might delete later.”
Nick’s solo album Sunday Best is dropping on February 6.
