Nick Jonas, a Bergen County, New Jersey native, released his new song on New Year’s Day. “Gut Punch” came out at midnight to ring in the new year.
The Jonas Brothers played a New Year’s Eve show in Miami, and Nick performed “Gut Punch” live during the concert.
Nick Jonas took to social media to talk about the emotional state of mind he felt at the start of the year and with the release of “Gut Punch.”
“Today I am feeling all of the start of the year feelings,” Nick Jonas said in his Instagram video.
He spoke about how he wanted to release “Gut Punch” on Jan. 1 to coincide with those emotions.
“Couldn’t ask for a better way to ring in the new year than hearing these lyrics that mean so much to me being sung back,” he wrote in another post. “Here’s to being kinder to ourselves in 2026.”
“Gut Punch” is now available on major music streaming platforms. Nick Jonas’ new album “Sunday Best” will be out Feb. 6.
The new song comes at an exciting time for the Wyckoff natives. The Jonas Brothers will star in “Camp Rock 3” coming out this summer and recently saw their own Christmas movie come out.
