Nicole Kidman isn’t feeling nostalgic about her 19-year marriage to Keith Urban, according to her friends; she’s only looking forward.
The 58-year-old actress is reportedly focusing on what is bringing her joy right now — “her family and her work,” per People. “She isn’t someone who dwells on regrets — she believes everything happens for a reason,” an insider revealed while noting that Kidman is “keeping it positive.”

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks after news broke that Kidman and Urban had separated, and by the next day, Sept. 30, she filed for divorce. The Oscar-winning actress is booked and busy with plenty of projects on her plate, including the third season of Big Little Lies and the recently wrapped sequel to Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock. “She has a great attitude and feels very grateful for her life,” the source added.
Urban seems to be navigating a more challenging road ahead since there are still unconfirmed rumors about an alleged affair. He also canceled one of his tour dates after battling laryngitis. “Hey Greenville, I’m so SO sorry to have to cancel the show,” the singer said in a statement on the concert venue’s site. “I know all the logistics it takes to get to a concert these days, and I’ve never taken any of that, or any of YOU, for granted. I’m looking forward to getting back there when we can!!!!!”
The public narrative is #TeamNicole, and it sounds like the couple’s daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14, are siding with their mom, too. “Sunday and Faith love their dad dearly, but they’re feeling very loyal to their mom right now, and they’ve made it their mission to be by her side,” according to a Star Magazine source. Sunday doesn’t even follow her dad on Instagram, but she is following her mom.
It also appears that the public scrutiny is getting to the 57-year-old country star, who is keeping a low profile amid his CBS show debut for The Road on Oct. 17. “He’s got paps hunting him down, and he’s no longer taking direct calls,” a source told Woman’s Day. “…[Keith is] “embarrassed to show his face on a red carpet until things settle down with his divorce. The last thing he needs is to overshadow his new show with all his personal issues.”
Meanwhile, Kidman is going to stay in the spotlight, according to NewsNation. ”Nic is about to blanket the media,” an insider revealed to the media outlet. “She is, of course, devastated about her divorce, but she is an actress in her prime and she loves to work.”
It’s Kidman’s time to shine, and she’s ready for the spotlight.
