Divorce makes you reevaluate many things, and that often includes not just the decisions you’ve made in your life but where you are located. And that’s reportedly what’s happening to Nicole Kidman. And we can’t blame her, considering the actress has resided in Nashville since 2007, mostly because that’s the most convenient place for Keith Urban’s music career. So, is she leaving the city now that the two have gone their separate ways?
The actress has reportedly been looking at properties in the exclusive Costaterra Gold and Ocean Club, a luxury development sometimes called the ‘Hamptons of Portugal’ and located an hour south of Lisbon, The Daily Mail reports. She also has, reportedly, applied for residence in a European country. All of this happened before her divorce was announced, but considering reports that she and Urban have been separated for months, perhaps this is indeed Kidman looking to get away from a place that has too many memories of her marriage.

Among the celebrities who own a residence in the same place as Kidman has been eye are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, George Clooney, Paris Hilton, and Princess Eugenie.
CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club has been described as a members-only resort of custom homes with a ‘lifestyle-focused coastal residential community’ and has been compared to St Tropez in the 60s. The amenities include secluded beaches, a golf course, a beach club, an equestrian centre, fitness and spa facilities, and an organic farm.
The actress was in Portugal in July to attend the in-person appointment at the immigration agency. At the time, the absence of her husband, Keith Urban, raised red flags, but they were explained by the fact that he was on tour in the US.
A possible move would make sense considering recent reports from Star Magazine that indicate the actress is not taking the breakup well. “She’s cried a lot of tears,” a source said. They added, “It’s been a horrific couple of weeks.”
And the reason for that is pretty obvious, considering the allegations about Urban. “The rumor is that he’s with a younger woman in the business,” a “Nashville music industry source told Daily Mail. “It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.”
That’s not all. Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop reported that Kidman was willing to fight to save the marriage, but Urban was not. “Nicole wanted to fight for them, but Keith had already checked out—and she knew why. It wasn’t about distance, schedules, or bad habits. It was about another woman. And Nicole knows who she is,” the gossip columnist reported. Another insider added, “She’s not naïve. She heard the stories; she saw the signs. At some point, the truth becomes impossible to ignore. She’s not going to live as anyone’s second choice.”
And if she also doesn’t want to stay in a city that is home to so many country singers, including her husband and his reported new flame, then we can’t say we blame her.
