Kidman was awarded primary residency, and Urban was granted 59 days of custody per year.

Jonathan A.J. Wilson, a professor of Brand Strategy and Culture at Regent’s University London, told Newsweek that Kidman and Urban’s recent “spike in publicity…could potentially be converted into short-term gains.”
That being said, “They both have solid individual brands, reputations, fan bases and back catalogs in their own rights—so whether their net worths change will depend on the nature of the stories that unfold surrounding their breakup, the narratives and the characters they will enviably be typecast into representing and how much cultural relevance or sympathy everyone has for them.”

Hilde Van den Bulck, a professor at Drexel University whose research interests include celebrity culture, said that Kidman and Urban are “an interesting case.”
“They are a ‘typical’ power couple but different from some other couples (e.g. the Beckhams),” she told Newsweek. “Their careers and also their individual images (as can be marketed in endorsement and advertising campaign deals) are mostly separate: Kidman as Hollywood A-lister and Urban as a successful country singer.”
“Their joint red carpet appearances attracted a lot of attention but probably did not make much of a difference in the kind of deals they could engage in that generate income compared to their singe status. Originally, Urban’s profile probably got a boost beyond the country world through his marriage to a Hollywood A-lister but whatever extra [money] this may have resulted in (in terms of endorsement/ad campaign deals) is ‘old news.'”
Van den Bulck continued: “Kidman post-Urban might take on different roles that her husband might have been against but would be able to negotiate as lucrative (but not necessarily more lucrative) a contract than as a married woman. Urban’s career will also keep evolving in ways unrelated to his marriage to Kidman.”
In other words, “not that much may change,” Van den Bulck said. “They seem to follow an ‘each to their own,’ so the divorce itself will not make one of them considerably richer, each being rich in their own way and not making demands on each other’s money.”
Neil Ewen, the deputy head of the Department of Communications, Drama and Film at the University of Exeter in England, agreed.
“I would be surprised if this split meant either of them taking significant hits to their finances or reputations,” he told Newsweek. “Celebrity couples are often more than the sum of their parts, with relationships often multiplying attention and earning potential. But in this case, they are both bona fide stars individually and have been for many years.”
“Kidman, especially, is iconic. Where many women celebrities struggle to maintain profiles as they get older, due to structural sexism and ageism in the media and entertainment industries, she has maintained a huge level of stardom and has built a hugely successful career over several decades,” Ewen explained.
“If it turned out that she was being blamed for the split, then that would potentially become a problem for her, as women tend to be punished by the media much more than men for indiscretions, such as infidelity. But it doesn’t seem to be the case here. If it turns out Urban is blamed for the split, that rarely has terminal effects on the careers of successful male musicians. He might take a bit of flak in the short term, but unless something really hideous emerges, I imagine that he would ride it out.”
