Some divorces are really dramatic in practice, with both parties saying bad things about each other at every possible turn. Others, however, only seem dramatic when you examine the circumstantial evidence. That’s the case with Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.
For example, in honor of Father’s Day, Kidman shared a tribute to her father and Urban, with whom she shares two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15. It’s a very positive sign for whatever relationship there is between them after the divorce, especially considering Kidman did not include ex Tom Cruise, with whom she shares two children, Bella, 33, and Connor, 31.
Kidman’s post featured two black-and-white photos, one with Urban and daughters Sunday and Faith when they were younger. “Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers,” she wrote. The pair married in 2006 and announced their split in 2025.
It comes just days after Urban also surprisingly posted about Kidman on June 20, for her 59th birthday. “Happy birthday, Nicole Mary!!!!!!!!!!!!” Urban wrote on Saturday, in a simple white font against a purple and blue background.
Kidman didn’t publicly comment on Urban’s message, but she did make a post of her own for the day, sharing a picture of her smiling next to a big rock. In the pictures, her eyes are closed, and she seems to be enjoying the sun on her face. “Another trip around the sun,” she wrote, alongside a sun and yellow heart emoji. “Thank you for all the birthday love xx #summersolsticebaby.”
Her oldest daughter with Urban, Sunday Rose, also posted publicly about her mom’s birthday. The 17-year-old wrote “Happy birthday mumma. No one I adore more” alongside a black-and-white picture of Kidman.
This comes after reports that the ex-couple’s daughters were not seeing eye to eye on the divorce, or at least the post-divorce drama. According to a June 2 report from Woman’s Day, Faith Margaret was “furious” with her sister, Sunday Rose, after she appeared to publicly take sides by unfollowing (and later refollowing) Urban on Instagram.
“Faith was always a bit of a daddy’s girl and she’s missing him being in her world 24/7,” a source told the outlet. “She doesn’t like all this conflict and feeling like she has to take sides. She was furious that Sunday would take such a public step.”
It seems like Faith is struggling, as many teens do, after a divorce. “Poor Faith is confused by how two people can go from being loving and supportive for years to where things are now,” the source added. “She knows her mum needs her right now, but she’s also worried about her dad, who doesn’t have the same support network around him Nicole does.”
It all apparently went down in late April 2026, just days before Sunday Rose walked the Met Gala red carpet with her mom. “Sunday knew exactly what she was doing,” a source told Hollywood insider Rob Shuter. “It was a pointed move, and Keith got the message loud and clear.”
Urban was said to be “hurt” by the decision, with another insider telling Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that he “knows this wasn’t just about Instagram. It was personal.”
Maybe they’re now trying to get along for the sake of the kids?
