(L-R) Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas perform onstage during the Stand Up To Cancer Telecast 2025 at The Pinnacle on August 9, 2025 in Nashville.

The 2025 Stand Up To Cancer televised fundraising special broadcast across the nation from Nashville on Aug. 15 and featured some of Music City’s biggest stars.

Hosted by breast cancer survivor Sheryl Crow, the night of musical performances, storytelling and cancer patient testimonies had one big goal: come together to fund cancer research.

The ninth-annual telecast, which aired on over 30 media platforms, was filmed in Nashville for the first time this year.

The fundraising event took place at The Pinnacle on Aug. 9 and featured performances from the Jonas Brothers, Noah Cyrus, Gavin DeGraw, Marcus King, Brothers Osborne, Jon Pardi, Jelly Roll, Dan + Shay and CeCe Winans, who was joined by the Nashville Community Gospel Choir.

Here are some of the top moments from the moving night of music.

Cece Winans, Nashville Community Gospel Choir perform ‘Believe For It’

Early in the show, gospel singer CeCe Winans took the stage with Gavin DeGraw on the piano and backing vocals from the Nashville Community Gospel Choir to perform her 2021 song “Believe For It.”

The moving performance showcased Winans’ rich, powerful tone as the choir layered emotive harmonies beneath her voice.

“Move the immovable / Break the unbreakable / God, we believe / God, we believe for it,” she sang. “From the impossible / We’ll see a miracle / God, we believe / God, we believe for it.”

Jelly Roll, Marcus King sing ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’

Country singer Jelly Roll and Southern rocker Marcus King hit the stage to perform alongside the Nashville Community Gospel Choir for a rendition of “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” Jelly Roll’s 2025 song with Brandon Lake.

The two took The Pinnacle to church with their raspy, soulful voices as they sang about never losing faith.

“I’ll bring my hard-fought, heartfelt, been-through-hell hallelujah, mm / I’ll bring my storm-tossed, torn sail, story-to-tell hallelujah, oh-oh-oh-oh,” they belted out.

“God, You’ve been patient / God, You’ve been gracious / Faithful whatever I’m feeling or facing.”

Gavin DeGraw, Noah Cyrus sing moving duet of ‘Hero In Our House’

The night’s most powerful moment was when singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw and Americana artist Noah Cyrus joined forces on DeGraw’s song “Hero In Our House.”

The two performed a moving rendition of DeGraw’s 2022 ballad, harmonizing as they sat together on the stage holding hands.

“There was a hero in our house, sent down from heaven / Then she went back, for the age of sixty-seven,” DeGraw sang. “But she told us all goodbye, told us she was proud / And that’s how she went out, the hero in our house.”

“I wrote that song for my mother after losing her to pancreatic cancer,” DeGraw told the crowd after the duo sang the last notes. “And two years later I lost my father to brain cancer.”

DeGraw grew emotional as Cyrus comforted him and the crowd gave the pair a standing ovation. Before the performance, Cyrus shared that she was there on behalf of her “pappy,” who died of lung cancer.

“Tonight we’re standing up to cancer, and then we’re taking action, pushing forward and saving lives,” DeGraw said. “Thank you very much.”
