What is Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser?

The 2025 docuseries is a three-part show that gives an inside look at how the 18-season-long show was made. It explores the competition and the emotions behind some players, as well as some of the show’s producers.

It also showcases how the experience changed the lives of those involved, well after the cameras called for a cut, and what followed them after the series finale.

Danny Cahill was 39 when he won the show in 2009. He had lost 238 pounds, just under 21% of his weight.

The Broken Arrow native felt like “I used to when I was a champion,” he told The Oklahoman in 2009.

Now, in the Netflix documentary, he recounts what it felt like going on the show in the first place, starting with the contract.

“It pretty much covered every base you could cover. It’s one of those that say ‘oh, you could even die and you know you won’t sue us.” Cahill recounts in a clip from the show. “[The contract] worried me a little bit, but what do you do? Not sign it and walk away?”

While he continues to recount the toll the show took on his body, he says he does not regret being on the show.
