Fans of English pop singer Olivia Dean were up in arms over a typo on the ticket prices to her show at TD Garden next year, prompting a hasty apology and refunds from Ticketmaster.

The apparent typo boosted the price of a ticket to the “Man I Need” singer’s show from the correct $53 to $753, according to USA Today.

“Raise ur hand if ur not seeing Olivia Dean next year,” a user named @tpwkayden wrote in a post on X on Nov. 18. “Ticketmaster…charges insane prices and lets bots buy out the whole venue.”

A screen capture showed them 24,161st in the queue to buy a ticket, along with the incorrect price of $753.55.

Dean’s solo tour comes to the Garden on Aug. 10, 2026.

“The price was a typo, but has since been updated to the correct $53.45 all in price – appreciate you flagging this, ”Ticketmaster wrote in posts to X. “Refunds for the difference have been automatically issued.”

Dean lashed out at Ticketmaster last week, denouncing what she described as “vile” resale practices by the ticketing giant, The Guardian reported.

Dean’s first North American tour rapidly sold out, and tickets, with prices topping $1,000, showed up on resale sites, the newspaper reported.

Taking to Instagram, Dean said: “@Ticketmaster @Livenation @AEGPresents you are providing a disgusting service,” she wrote. “The prices at which you’re allowing tickets to be re-sold is vile and completely against our wishes. Live music should be affordable and accessible and we need to find a new way of making that possible. BE BETTER.”

Ticketmaster replied that it supported “artists’ ability to set the terms of how their tickets are sold and resold. @OliviaDeano, we will cap resale prices on our site at face value and hope other resale sites will follow.”

In a statement published by The Guardian, Michael Rapino, CEO of Ticketmaster’s parent company Live Nation Entertainment, said the company shared “Olivia’s desire to keep live music accessible and ensure fans have the best access to affordable tickets. While we can’t require other marketplaces to honour artists’ resale preferences, we echo Olivia’s call to ‘do better’ and have taken steps to lead by example.”

In a follow-up post, Dean said that “touts steal from artists and they steal from fans. They create inequality and hysteria. I am lucky to have had an education about the complexities and corruption of ticketing from @dicefm and will always choose to partner with them where we can. But know that you have power with other partners.”

“Capping resale at face value is your right and we have a duty to encourage a fair resale market,” she continued, according to The Guardian. “We are often made to feel we don’t have a choice but there is always space to ask why and it is always your right to say no!”
