It’s been a blockbuster year for Dijon.
Though he’s been making music as a solo artist since 2017, the R&B singer recently found mainstream success with Justin Bieber’s “Swag” and “Swag II,” which he sang on and helped to produce. Weeks later, he made his Hollywood debut, taking on his first acting role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another,” which hit theaters nationwide on Sept. 26.
Now, the “Dress” singer is setting out on a highly-anticipated tour in honor of what is perhaps his most important celebration yet: fatherhood.
His sophomore album, “Baby,” was named in honor of his son who was born in 2023. Dijon, whose full name is Dijon Duenas, released the record in August and plans to perform its tracks for Bay Area audiences next month. Fans can catch him at San Francisco’s Masonic on Nov. 5 and at Oakland’s Fox Theater the following night.
