Season 20 follows a group of Seattle singles who are putting their love lives entirely in the hands of the experts. Going into the premiere, I figured it would be slow and full of mostly introductions. Instead, it felt like the kind of first episode that immediately pulls you in and refuses to let go.
Within an hour, we met a cast that already feels made for TV, including a seasoned reality star who’s been on Netflix’s The Circle and Perfect Match, a musically inclined athlete who never quite seems to read the room, and a restaurant owner who leaves his phone number on customers’ receipts to name a few.
Then there are the family members, who honestly deserve their own show. One father seems more interested in stealing the spotlight than attending the wedding. And just when I thought the episode couldn’t get any messier, it ended on a cliffhanger that had me literally gasping.
Needless to say, I was sold.
