Prince Harry is scheduled to touchdown in the UK today, with the primary reason for his visit being the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games on Friday. The annual event, which is set to take place in Birmingham, will mark exactly 365 days until the Games are held there next summer.
The 41-year-old could be set to meet with his father, King Charles, with the royal thought to not have relationship with his stepmother, Queen Camilla. The King was reportedly set for a reunion with his two youngest grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, but the young royals will not be joining their father in the UK.
Despite Harry known to have a fractured relationship with many of the senior royals, Queen Camilla is said to be “very willing” to meet with Harry during his visit to the UK this week.
Speaking on the podcast, The Royals Uncensored, royal expert Katie Nicholls said: “I’m told that the Queen is also very willing to meet them.
“I was speaking to a source close to her this week, wondering if she might not be present because of the frankly horrific things Harry has said about Camilla in Spare.
“But no, if this meeting goes ahead, she wants to be there, she wants to see those step-grandchildren and she’s so in lock step with the King.”
Writing in his bombshell memoir, Spare, which was first released in hardback in January 2023, Harry referred to Camilla as “evil”, “a villian” and “dangerous”.
The King is thought to have last met with Archie and Lilibet, now aged seven and five, in person back in June 2022. Archie and Liliet, who were then aged three and one, travelled to the UK with Harry and Meghan for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
They, however, did not appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony with the senior members of the Royal Family.
It remains unknown where Harry is residing during his visit as his previous offer to stay at Buckingham Palace was later “withdrawn” as the royal accepted the offer too late.
