Hairstylist John Nollet is calling from Pamela Anderson‘s hotel room in Paris. He just finished styling her for the Tom Ford spring 2026 presentation, just two days after the “Baywatch” actress unveiled her new copper-hued, part-shag, part-bob, crafted by him.

“What is super nice and super exciting about this haircut is you can play so many different hairdos every day. It depends on your feeling. You can be very feminine and very ’80s-inspired, and at the same time, very modern,” Nollet says. For the Tom Ford show, however, he took a masculine approach, brushing Anderson’s hair off her forehead and parting it on the left side of her head, putting her shadowed roots on full display. “It’s very rock ‘n’ roll,” he notes.
After spending most of her life as a blond, no one could have predicted Anderson’s move to orange on the color wheel — not even her, Nollet says. When Anderson first connected with Nollet through a mutual friend named Jeremy, she wasn’t sure what she wanted, but she knew she needed something fresh for her role in an upcoming movie. Ultimately, the two found inspiration in French actress Marlene Jobert’s hair aesthetic in the film, “Nous Ne Vieillirons Pas Ensemble,” translation: “We Won’t Grow Old Together.”

According to Nollet, the style fits perfectly with Anderson’s new character. “I love to mix with the personality of the person that I’m doing the hair for and the story of the movie. We created all this shadow, from the roots to the end, with many different nuances of this reddish issue,” he explains of the gingerbread hue. “We didn’t want it to have like a very flashy color. We wanted to have something natural. With the shadowing on the roots, it makes the color more real.”

Nollet likens shading Anderson’s hair to “painting on white paper.” He also points out that Anderson wasn’t afraid to make the switch from her trademark look; she eagerly welcomed it. “We felt so confident between us,” Nollet adds. “I felt free because I had understood her points, and she understood what I was telling her.”
As for what will come of this newfound partnership, the hair artist says to expect the unexpected from him and Anderson. “We’re going to change the hair each day,” he teases.
