Pamela Anderson, amidst a rumored romance with co-star Liam Neeson, told crowds at a film festival that she will always keep her love life private.

Pamela Anderson, Liam Neeson turn heads at ‘Naked Gun’ premiere
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson cozied up at the London premiere of ‘The Naked Gun’ reboot, fueling romance rumors.
Pamela Anderson isn’t interested in PR stunts.
The actress, 58, who has sparked romance rumors alongside “The Naked Gun” costar Liam Neeson, seemingly addressed concerns that the entanglement was for show in a Sept. 5 speech at the 51st Deauville American Film Festival in France.
“I do not and will never feed into PR stunts,” she said, after accepting a special talent award. “That would be a death sentence. I’m authentically driven. I’m superstitious when it comes to love. And I’m not comfortable sharing any shred of my romantic life. For as you can see, it is only built up and torn down in days, weeks, months in a media culture that is quick to judge and ruin it.”
Anderson, the victim of an infamous sex tape leak in the ’90s with ex-husband Tommy Lee, told audiences that becoming a part of pop culture is both a privilege and a curse, as it steals the kind of privacy and mystery that helps an actress transform into a character.
“I know I’ll fall in love again and again on screen. That is my job. If we do it well, you will feel it, a kind of projection. It is the greatest compliment,” Anderson continued in her speech. “So please think positive. And I appreciate your good wishes. There are no silly games being played. I’m sincere.”
Anderson and Neeson, who play a couple in the 2025 action comedy “The Naked Gun,” first drummed up romance speculation when they shared a near-kiss on a red carpet promoting the film, and have appeared cozy since.
Audiences quickly attached to the affair, seemingly thrilled by the idea of a second-chance love for two bona fide movie stars in their own right. Anderson, however, seemed to prickle at the increased attention, in particular, theorists proposing that the rumored romance was a stunt aimed at stirring up interest in the film.
“When love, whatever shape it takes or however long it lasts, is innocent, it takes time,” she told audiences. “And love belongs to lovers.”
