Paul McCartney has confirmed his first two concerts of 2026, which will see him visit Los Angeles.
Despite usually performing in stadiums or arenas, McCartney is set to scale things back and get intimate, by his standards, with a visit to the Fonda Theater.
The Beatles legend will play two shows at the 1,200-capacity venue later this month, performing on March 27th and March 28th.
Fans interested in buying tickets must register for tickets via his website, with the registration process set to close on March 18th at 10pm local time in Los Angeles. Tickets are limited to two per customer.
McCartney’s website also states, “Extremely limited tickets available. Registering does not guarantee ability to purchase. Avoid purchasing tickets from third-party vendors. Fake tickets will not be honoured, and entry will be denied.”
These shows mark McCartney’s first concerts since the conclusion of his Got Back dates in 2025, which he wrapped up in November with four nights at the United Center in Chicago.
As it stands, McCartney has no further dates in his calendar beyond the upcoming concerts in Los Angeles this month.
Last February, McCartney performed two similarly intimate shows at the Bowery Ballroom in New York, and he also played a theatre in Santa Barbara in September before embarking upon his North American tour.
McCartney returning to the stage this month is likely to fuel speculation that he is on the brink of returning with new material for the first time since McCartney III in 2020.
Despite it being a six-year wait for new music, McCartney has worked continuously throughout this period, including touring the world, headlining Glastonbury, as well as releasing ‘Now and Then’ with The Beatles, which reached number one and won a Grammy.
Most recently, he’s been involved in celebrating the career of Wings, which was the focus of the recent documentary, Paul McCartney: Man on the Run, and last year, he chronicled their career in the book, Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run.
