Despite having debuted over one year ago, Peacock’s crime thriller The Day of the Jackal is back on global streaming charts. According to FlixPatrol, the series is among the most popular on streaming platforms such as HBO Max, Apple TV Store, and Osn. The Eddie Redmayne-led remake of Frederick Forsyth‘s 1971 book of the same name was a hit right off the gate when it premiered in November 2024. It was the number one show on Peacock in its premiere week and remained in the streamer’s top ten for its entire run. With an 85% critics’ score and 77% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, the series was positively received and earned a swift renewal.
