Following reports that she and her husband have separated, Pink is officially setting the record straight.
After People published an exclusive yesterday, Feb. 26, stating that the three-time Grammy Award-winning artist and her spouse, Carey Hart, had split, the “So What” singer took to her Instagram account to share that nothing could be further from the truth.
“So I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know,” she quipped. “Thank you, People magazine. Thank you, US Weekly. Thank you for letting me know. I was wondering, would you also like to tell our children? My 14-year-old and 9-year-old are also unaware. Or, do you want to talk about some real news? Do you want to talk about the Epstein files? Do you want to talk about systemic racism or misogyny in sports or how classy the women’s hockey team is or how eight of the 12 medals won in the Olympics this year for the U.S. were won by women? Or do you maybe want to talk about the fact that I got nominated the first year I was eligible for the Rock and Roll … Hall of Fame? Do you want to talk about my accomplishments or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?”
Before signing off her video post, Pink clarified that the report was “fake news, not true,” and encouraged media outlets to “do better.” She and Hart, a motocross racer, have been married since January 2006 and share two children: a daughter, Willow, and son Jameson.
The “Don’t Let Me Get Me” singer doubled down in her caption, writing to fans, “Like I always say. If you don’t hear it from me, don’t believe the hype. Stay tuned though! Who knows what could happen next!?!”
“The queen has spoken 👏🏻❤️,” one of the artist’s 11.5 million followers wrote in the comments.
“love this!👏 also i did legit think this was me at the start of the video and i was confused. 😂❤️,” actress Busy Philipps added.
“How much do we love her?? Pink is a national treasure,” someone else stated.
Earlier this week, nominees were announced for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 2026 induction class, and in addition to Pink, included artists like Shakira, Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, Melissa Etheridge and Sade. As Pink noted in her Instagram reel, part of the criteria for being eligible for a nomination requires an artist to have released their first commercial recording 25 years prior to the year of induction. Pink’s debut album, Can’t Take Me Home, was released in April 2000 and went double platinum.
