During a gap in her and Harry’s jam-packed itinerary, it has been reported that Meghan travelled to the set to MasterChef Australia and filmed for an episode of the popular show.
Australian showbiz correspondent, Tom Ford, took to social media on Wednesday to share the announcement of Meghan’s latest venture.
He penned: “Breaking; Not actually a day of rest for Meghan. She’s been busy filming Masterchef as a guest judge. Not sure if she cooked anything other than a succulent appearance fee!”
Meghan’s publicist has since confirmed to News.com Australia that she had appeared as a guest judge.
The statement read: “As part of her first Australian visit since 2018, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, featured as a guest judge on the country’s most beloved cooking show.
“Meghan mentored and guided our nation’s top home cooks alongside MasterChef Australia judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli.”
The official MasterChef Instagram account also shared the exciting announcement.
They wrote: “We’re welcoming someone SUPER special into the MasterChef Kitchen. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, makes a special guest appearance this season as she returns to Australia for the first time since 2018.
“Joining a star-studded lineup of Guest Judges and culinary icons, Meghan helps guide some of the most impressive home cooks the competition has ever seen. This is the series of MasterChef you don’t want to miss.”
