CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The CEO of Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment released a statement Tuesday regarding the recent violent incidents in Downtown Cincinnati.

Britney Ruby Miller, CEO of Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment, released a statement Tuesday night, hopeful that city leadership will release a “robust strategy” to combat violence in the city’s center in the next 24 hours.

The statement comes after violent crimes rocked Fountain Square in just two weeks.

City leaders held a press conference Tuesday afternoon, addressing the recent violent incidents and unveiling plans to implement new strategies to combat crime.

The changes include creating legislation for an earlier curfew for minors, starting at 6 p.m., and a persistent SWAT and Civil Disturbance Response Team (CDRT) on the ground from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
