MUSIC-LOVERS are being invited to the latest live fundraising gig hosted by a popular Northwich hair salon.
House of Quirk in High Street has held its ‘Christmas Quirkfest’ event for eight years now and in that time has raised thousands of pounds for charity.
And, on December 7, the salon will be putting on its latest event at the town’s Harlequin Theatre in Queen Street.
This year the chosen charity is the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, which works to protect and conserve the world’s oceans and marine wildlife.
Tom Mann, the owner director at House of Quirk, said: “We have been putting the Christmas Quirkfest on for eight years now, with some amazing acts from all over the North.
“It’s been great to see our customers and the local community get together for a good cause.
“It’s a busy time of year for everybody so we always appreciate people coming out to support it.
“We’ve raised thousands of pounds doing them and we hope to raise thousands more.
“We decided on Sea Shepherd this year as they do amazing work clearing debris from the oceans as well as helping to stop illegal fishing practices.
“We’re big fans of the critters here at the House.”
Acts taking to the stage on December 7 will be alternative/indie musician Run Remedy, singer and guitarist Sean Mack, and singer-songwriter Daniall Lee.
In the past Christmas Quirkfest has supported charities such as the North West Air Ambulance, Mind, Nordoff and Robbins, CALM and Cancer Research UK among others.
There is a bar at the theatre and a tombola will also be taking place during the evening.
Tickets for the event, which starts from 7pm, are £19 and available in the House of Quirk salon or by calling 01606 330879.
