Ryan Timms Dominates the 58th Annual Tuscarora 50

Port Royal, PA — At nineteen years old, winning against both national touring series of the World of Outlaws and Kubota High Limit Racing in one season would be impressive. For any driver, winning the Knoxville Nationals and or the Tuscarora 50 are impressive achievements within themselves. Just one month apart, Ryan Timms was able to do it all on Saturday night and would become the first driver since Kenny Weld in 1973 and Doug Wolfgang in 1985 to conquer the Knoxville Nationals and Tuscarora 50 in the same year.

Justin Peck and Lucas Wolfe would lead the 28 car field to the green flag in the 58th running of the Tuscarora 50 with Peck jumping to the early advantage.

Parker Price Miller and Logan Wagner would drive around Lucas Wolfe to put themselves into the second and third place positions over the next two laps before the first caution of the night.

Brent Marks would slow with just three laps completed bringing out the caution flag due to a flat right rear tire. Marks’ crew would quickly fix the issue under caution, and he would return to the tail of the field.

On the restart, Parker Price Miller would challenge Peck for the lead around the racetrack before the caution lights would come back on just one lap later for a slowing Brenham Crouch.

Crouch, who had struggles from the start of the program, would pound into the turn three wall following contact with Brad Sweet, doing heavy damage to the rear end of his car to bring out the second caution of the night.

The field would come back to life with Aaron Reutzel being able to jump his way up into the fourth position before Anthony Macri would bring out the caution flag from his 10th running position due to major engine issues.

Macri would come to the infield work area, quickly removing his helmet and gloves, signaling that his race was over with only 6 laps completed in the A-main.

The field came back to life and would go on a long green flag run up until the competition caution at the midway point of 25 laps remaining.

Aaron Reutzel and Ryan Timms would get themselves to third and fourth while Justin Peck and Parker Price Miller continued to battle for the lead.

Timms would make the race for the top spot a tight three car battle coming to the competition caution, getting by Parker Price Miller with 26 laps remaining and looking underneath Peck, but was not able to complete the pass.

At the midway point, the cars would be stopped on the front stretch to allow their teams out to refuel their machines and make any adjustments under the 5-minute breakage.

Once the field came back to green with 25 laps to go, Timms would power off the outside lane. He would grab the lead and from that point on it was all the 19 year old driver from Oklahoma the rest of the way.

Timms lead would eclipse over 7 seconds by the time he took the checkered flag, winning the 58th Annual Tuscarora 50 in dominating fashion.

Justin Peck would hold on to finish in the second position and Aaron Reutzel would finish in third.

That concludes the 2025 racing season at Port Royal Speedway as Kubota High Limit Racing will head to Lernerville Speedway September 12th and 13th for the Commonwealth Clash.
