Post Malone is set to embark on the BIG ASS Stadium Tour Part 2 with Jelly Roll in less than seven days. He has yet to release his new album as ticket sales continue to flounder.

If his reason for canceling multiple shows in early May is any indication, the music is on the way.

However, the country music crossover artist might be too late. His tour is on life support and I don’t know if there is enough time to save it.

Post Malone promised new music.

Don’t get it twisted. I am a big fan of Austin Richard Post. I think he is an awesome dude and I enjoy his music greatly. My friends and I had a great time at his BIG ASS Stadium Tour Part 1 back in October of 2024— even though my nose was bleeding.

That doesn’t make me any less confused about this latest rollout.

Post Malone officially announced the BIG ASS Stadium Tour Part 2 on February 2, 2026. Jelly Roll will provide direct support. Carter Faith will serve as the opener. The bill leads me to believe that it will be largely based on his country music era.

However, it became abundantly clear at the end of April that a majority of the stops on the tour were going to be empty. He (read: his team) made a big push to sell tickets at places like Ole Miss and LSU to no avail. Interest was minimal.

The horrendous ticket sales forced Posty to cancel multiple shows in El Paso, Waco, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Tampa and Oxford. The start date for the tour was pushed from May 13 to June 9. He said that he wanted to release new music first.

“Truth is, I promised y’all beautiful people new music, and I don’t have the time to finish it before tour starts. We ain’t ready for tour just yet, so I’m making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done.”

Well, we are less than seven days out from the new start date and the new music is not out. What gives?

To be completely honest, I expected Post Malone to drop his new album before the Memorial Day weekend. It would’ve been a perfect soundtrack to the unofficial start of summer and it would’ve given his fans at least two weeks to get excited about the new tunes. Maybe they would’ve been inspired to buy tickets. “Wow I really like this, I’d love to hear it live.”

That did not happen. If he stays true to his word, the new music will be released prior to June 9. We’ll see.

Ticket sales are (still) a disaster.

I don’t know whether this tour is salvageable, regardless of whether we get a new album in the next week or not. It’s looking grim.

This is the current availability for Charlotte, the first night of the tour:

This is for Indianapolis, the second night of the tour:

Cleveland is a little bit better but people aren’t willing to pay up for the lower bowl or the floor.

Tampa Bay is not selling at all.

Ames isn’t great either.

Only the smallest stadiums are anywhere close to sold out, like Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Montana. Most everywhere else is in serious trouble. I don’t know if there is enough time to fill the seats. The new album is the only hope.
