President Donald Trump had a lot to say about the royal family during King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s time in the United States.
According to royal expert Robert Hardman — who has written multiple books on the royals — the 79-year-old president offered his two cents on just about every key royal family member during a conversation they had during the recent state visit.
In a Thursday, April 30, the Daily Mail report, Hardman said the Apprentice alum wanted to talk about his time with the king, 77, and queen, 78, asking, “We’ve done a good job with the King, right?”
“He’s a great guy, he really is,” Trump added of His Majesty.
Apparently, Trump holds a different opinion of Charles’ son Prince Harry, asking Hardman, “So can Harry make a comeback?”
Referring to how the Duke of Sussex, 41, and wife Meghan Markle, 44, stepped back from their senior royal duties in 2020 and moved to California, Trump said, sighing, “Too many things, I guess.”
“That wife of his,” Trump then said of the Duchess of Sussex. “Boy, what she’s done to that guy… I guess she got blocked out by [Prince] William‘s wife.”
As for Princess Kate, Trump reportedly had nothing but nice things to say.

“How’s she doing? She’s so great. She was sick, people said crazy things about her and she was so brave,” he said of the Princess of Wales, 44, who took time out of the public eye to deal with her cancer diagnosis.
“William, he’ll be a good King, won’t he?” he added of the Prince of Wales, 43. “He’s very nice. A great guy. I like him.”
He also asked about the couple’s three children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 8.
Daily Mail journalist Richard Eden — who was in Washington when the king and queen came to visit — also reported that the president made an “interesting comment” about the Spare author.
Eden said he learned that when Harry came up in conversation, Trump allegedly said to a British visitor: “Can you take him back?”
During the royals’ state visit, the king and queen — who were welcomed to Washington, D.C., on Monday — attended a garden party at the British embassy after their arrival. Charles delivered an address to a joint meeting of Congress on Tuesday.
The pair also took part in a state dinner at the White House on Tuesday evening.
