(WIVT/WBGH) – In a story of champagne and caviar, the life story of an Endwell native is about to open on Broadway.
The Queen of Versailles has begun previews at the St. James Theatre, formerly home to the Tony award-winning revival of Sunset Boulevard.
The show tells the story of Union-Endicott graduate Jackie Siegel and her late husband David Siegel’s journey to building the largest single-family home in America.

The home, which is currently under construction, is intended to be modeled after the Palace of Versailles.
The musical features Broadway, television and movie star Kristin Chenoweth as Jackie Siegel and Murray Abraham.
The official opening night is set for November 9.
