Andrew Mountbatten Windsor may not have his royal titles but he’s still got a few family treasures — and he may resort to pawning them for cash, a source tells Examiner.
Andrew, 65, “has a trove of jewels and trinkets that are rightfully his, or so he claims, which would fetch many millions if he puts them up for auction,” says the source, adding that he’ll “fight” to keep the paintings and furnishings from the Royal Lodge before he’s forced to leave.
“He has letters from his parents, photos that capture intimate and historical moments, plus a cache of home videos and other mementoes that would be any collector’s dream and fetch an absolute fortune if he goes this route,” adds the source.
His ex-wife, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, 66, has also “hoarded everything from her wedding day,” continues the source, “plus correspondence from Diana” that contains some of the late princess’ “deepest confessions.”

They’ve held on to these valuables as “insurance for a worst-case scenario that has now become reality,” says the source.
The loss of their royal status has left them with very little sources of income, notes the source, so they’re considering selling everything for cash.
“It’ll be an unprecedented nightmare for the royals,” says the source. “They knew getting rid of Andrew was bound to be messy but this would be the equivalent of him pressing the nuclear button.”
