Prince Harry Is ‘Separating Himself’ From Wife Meghan’s ‘Crashing Career’ Amid Royal Reunion, Expert Claims

Prince Harry is reportedly “distancing” himself from his wife, Meghan Markle‘s career, as he continues to make headway in his reconciliation quest with the royal family.

The Duchess of Sussex recently released the second season of her Netflix cooking show “With Love, Meghan,” but failed to make the streamer’s weekly ratings, unlike the first season.

Meanwhile, following a recent trip to the U.K., where Prince Harry met with his father, King Charles, the duke said his “conscience is clear” regarding allegations he made in his memoir “Spare.”

Harry seems to have little interest in his wife, Meghan’s lifestyle business, according to royal biographer Tom Bower, who wrote the royal book “Revenge” in 2022.

Speaking with GB News after Harry’s 4-day visit to the U.K., the author weighed in on some of the prince’s actions and claimed that he has “separated himself” from Meghan’s “crashing career.”

The host asked Bower if Harry had “painted himself into irrelevance” after he and his wife dropped their royal roles in 2020 and relocated abroad, where they now live and raise their family, but the author didn’t think so.

Mr. Bower replied: “Well, he hasn’t, because when he comes here, he becomes a focus of attention. But of course, he is spare to Meghan or was, in her attempt to become the great television homemaker. But her series, her career, is crashing.”

“So very cleverly, Harry has separated himself from Meghan, as she did from him, but she still needs him. And so you’ve got this couple in Montecito, desperately looking for a new purpose in life,” he continued.

The Sussexes’ Business Struggles

Ever since their royal exit, Harry and Meghan have struggled with some of their business ventures, including failing to meet productivity benchmarks for their Spotify deal, which led to its termination in 2023.

Meghan’s luxury lifestyle brand also faced major challenges under its initial name, American Riviera Orchard, before she eventually changed it to As Ever, due to trademark issues.

The couple was also plagued by reports of a high staff turnover and a reportedly difficult work environment within their ventures.

More recently, Meghan released the second season of her Netflix cooking show, “With Love, Meghan,” but failed to make the streaming giant’s weekly ratings, unlike the first season, which racked up 2.6 million views in its first week.

“Is Harry Meghan’s spare, or are Meghan and Harry the spare to the Royal Family? The fact is, they are both looking for a purpose, and all they can do is damage the monarchy through their activities,” Bower claimed in his chat with the news outlet.

Elsewhere in his scathing assessment of Harry and Meghan’s impact on the British monarchy, Bower said that the couple has caused more damage to the firm over the last 5 years than it has experienced in more than a century.

Speaking to GB News, the royal biographer said: “It’s the Harry who wants to have his cake and eat it to live in California, pop over here just to remind people how important he is, and at the same time undermine the Royal Family.”

He continued, “And really, he and Meghan together have done more in the last four or five years to damage the monarchy than anyone in hundreds of years.”

Bower added, “I fear this trip has done huge damage to the Royal Family, because in the end he’ll get his vengeance, and that is very bad indeed.”

The Duke Recently Reunited With His Father, King Charles

Bower’s comments come in the wake of Harry’s recent solo trip to the U.K. for a series of charity events and a long-awaited reunion with King Charles.

The father and son have been estranged following the controversial claims Harry made in his memoir “Spare,” and have not seen each other in over 19 months since the duke travelled to the U.K. upon the king’s cancer diagnosis.

Reports suggest that Charles had a private tea with his son during his visit to the royal residence that lasted about 50 minutes.

After meeting with King Charles, Harry made a surprise visit to Ukraine, where he showed support for wounded veterans as part of his Invictus Games initiative.

Speaking to The Guardian while on the trip, he said his “conscience is clear” regarding the claims he made in his record-breaking book.

“I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear,” the Duke of Sussex stated.
