Prince Harry shared a telling remark about reconciliation following the end of his 19-month estrangement with King Charles III.
In an interview with The Guardian from Kyiv, Ukraine, published on Sunday, September 14, the Duke of Sussex, 41, declared, “You cannot have reconciliation before you have truth.”
The tensions between Harry and the 76-year-old sovereign seem to have cooled down, as he said that this year, “the focus really has to be on my dad.”
As Star previously reported, on September 10, Harry enjoyed a private tea with the King for approximately 50 minutes while in London, according to the BBC. However, he did not meet with his brother, Prince William, on his trip.

When asked whether Harry wants to bring his and wife Meghan Markle’s children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, to the UK and visit there more often, he answered, “Yes I would,” noting to The Guardian, “This week has definitely brought that closer.”
Harry also addressed his reasoning behind writing his 2023 memoir Spare, in which he shared intimate details about his life and the royal family.
“I know that [speaking out] annoys some people and it goes against the narrative. The book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there,” he explained. “One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected.”
“I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public,” he continued. “It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear.”
“It is not about revenge,” he added, “it is about accountability.”
