Prince Harry and Prince William’s relationship will reach a “flashpoint” in 2026, an astrologer who was close to Diana, Princess of Wales, has predicted. Debbie Frank said things will come to a head between the royal brothers in May.
Ms Frank said the year will offer the Duke of Sussex “plenty of opportunity” for fresh starts and new ventures which promise “excitement”. She cautioned that Harry will also meet challenges forcing him to adjust his plans.
The astrologer told Hello! magazine: “The New Moon on May 16 is a flashpoint for his relationship with his brother, which requires careful handling. Can he find a way to mend fences in the month of June?”
She suggested that before next year ends, the Duke will make efforts to “negotiate” his role in the Royal Family.
Harry and William reportedly first fell out in 2018, when the Duke accused the future king that he wasn’t doing enough to include his wife, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, in the Royal Family.
King Charles, then Prince of Wales, intervened, and the Sussexes were then invited to spend Christmas at Sandringham with William and Princess Catherine.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl later revealed William had become “quite concerned” at the speed with which Harry and Meghan’s relationship was developing.
Well-intentioned brotherly advice riled Harry, according to Ms Nicholl, who saw William’s asking if he was sure about Meghan as evidence his sibling wasn’t so supportive of their romance.
Royal filmmaker Nick Bullen told Fox News in March 2019 that William and Harry “had a rift” and not Catherine and Meghan, as had been suspected.
In May the same year, the Mirror reported that the Sussexes had been paid a visit by William and Catherine at their Frogmore Cottage home, as part of reconciliation efforts.
William and Harry put their differences to one side in August 2019 to mark the anniversary of their mother’s death.
But in October, Harry admitted there was a royal rift. He told ITV: “We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy, but you know, I love him dearly.
“The majority of this stuff [in the press] is created out of nothing, but you know, as brothers, you know, you have good days, you have bad days.”
Harry and Meghan’s eventual step back from royal duties was reported to have “blindsided” William, a source told US Weekly at the time.
They described it as sad because in the past William would have been the first person Harry would have gone to with such news.
William was reportedly annoyed at the Sussexes’ decision to leave the UK, with royal experts variously describing sibling tensions and faltering efforts to patch things up in the years since.
Ms Frank’s prediction Harry will make moves towards renegotiating his role in the Royal Family comes as the Duke seeks to regain his automatic security detail when he visits the UK.
The Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) has decided to re-evaluate the threat level posed to the Sussexes, possibly paving the way for more appearances by Harry and Meghan.
Princess Catherine and the Duchess have reportedly been working behind the scenes to heal the rift between the two brothers, with one source suggesting their chances of reconciliation were greater if Meghan and the Princess of Wales found “some common ground”.
