Prince Harry’s anniversary cake for his wife, Meghan Markle, to mark their eighth wedding anniversary has left royal fans confused over its set of candles. The Duchess of Sussex posted a series of videos to her Instagram stories showing how the family celebrated her and Prince Harry’s eighth wedding anniversary on Tuesday.
Harry and Meghan married on May 19, 2018, at a lavish ceremony in Windsor. In the new videos, Prince Harry could be seen carrying a lemon elderflower cake with four candles and singing “Happy anniversary to mama and papa”.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet could also be heard singing and cheering in the background.
But fans were left confused by the four candles on an eighth-anniversary cake, with some saying it makes “no sense”.
One user asked on X: “Wait that’s four candles hahahha, does harry know how to count or is this their fourth wedding anniversary?”
Another one said: “Four candles? Is that supposed to mean something??”
A third one added: “Why only four candles? And who puts candles on an anniversary cake?”
Others thought the candles could symbolise the four members of the Sussex family, Harry, Meghan and their two children.
One user said: “I’d imagine the candles are for the four of them.”
Another one commented: “Four candles? Why four? Does it represent their little family?”
A third one wrote: “4 candles to represent the family of 4, 2 blue for Harry and Archie and 2 pink for Meghan and Lili.”
A fourth one opined: “I think most of us deduced 4 candles represent their family. The anniversary isn’t just the couple but includes the family they created!”
