As well as talking about William’s friends being annoyed at the clash, Mr Sykes also said that the announcement clash shows that Harry and William still have a rocky relationship, with a ceasefire between them not being “secure”.
This is despite the fact Harry seems to have made amends with their father, King Charles, recently.
Mr Sykes also said that Harry holding events during the Remembrance Period could be “motivated by resentment”.
Mr Sykes wrote: “Harry’s decision to stage a public event during the traditional Remembrance period will strike many observers as needlessly antagonistic.”
He continued: “To many inside and outside the royal machine, Harry will appear motivated by resentment and a desire for revenge rather than respect for the Remembrance calendar.
“If so, it is a miscalculation – and a reminder that the brothers’ ceasefire remains anything but secure.”
Harry feels strongly about Remembrance events, as he himself served in the Armed Forces, which included the prince serving two tours in Afghanistan.
It is also believed the events he will attend this week have been in the diary for sometime, with Harry having no control over the dates that such events are held.
