Prince William is the heir in waiting and it appears plans have been accelerated in terms of readying him for the throne with one royal expert saying “he’s been touted as the King in waiting.”
The Royal Family seems to have a unique relationship with death, that it must be faced head-on, as there is a handover with the crown going to the next in line. Talking about what’s to come seems to be a pure and honest way of talking about a sad yet unavoidable subject.
By no means is anyone rushing King Charles into an early grave, but time is of the essence, and the conversations must take place while everyone is healthy enough to do so.
Ian Pelham Turner, former royal photographer, has a good handle on what’s going on behind Palace doors, as he’s well connected, and it’s believed William and Kate’s PR teams are working at full-force to create an image that the public will be accepting off.
He said: “I think, at the moment, what I notice is, that William and Kate’s PR team are going up like 100 miles an hour, you know.”
This kind of thing does NOT happen in the U.S.
From the outside looking in, the term “heir in waiting” seems like such a sad term, it sounds like the heir is waiting for the monarch to die, but that’s not the case.
Heir in waiting is easier to understand when compared to heir apparent.
Heir apparent means no matter what that person is next in line. But heir in waiting means it can change that the person could be displaced.
