Princess Anne re-wears 45-year-old accessory for son’s royal wedding

Princess Anne wore a decades-old accessory to Peter Phillips‘ wedding.

The matriarch stunned in a yellow suit paired with a matching hat — reportedly the same one she wore 45 years ago — to watch her son marry Harriet Sperling.

Anne wore the same hat she wore to Zara’s christening

According to People, Anne donned the same cap when her daughter, Zara Tindall, was christened in 1981.

During the event for her now 45-year-old daughter, the Princess Royal wore a similar yellow ensemble.

Anne praised for being frugal

In a Channel 5 documentary via Daily Express, about the richest royals, Anne clocked in at number five due to her tendency to save money where she can.

“Next on our royal rich list is the notoriously thrifty princess, who has been quietly amassing a fortune,” the film stated.

“Princess Anne is the best value for money the royal family has. She works more than any other working member of the royal family and she’s completely frugal. I don’t think she’s been on a shopping trip for decades,” royal expert Charlotte Griffiths told The Mirror.

King Charles III’s sister has also been hailed as one of the hardest working members of the royal family.

Anne should get more acknowledgement

Many social media users raved about Anne and how dedicated she is to The Firm in the fallout of the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandal.

“We need to show Princess Anne more love,” one person wrote on X.

“Princess Anne definitely deserves more recognition,” another person added.

“More flowers for Princess Anne. She’s fabulous and needs more acknowledgement. I believe it is her who is the one holding the royal family together,” a third penned.

Anne’s independent mindset about Andrew

After the former Duke of York was stripped of his titles and evicted from Royal Lodge over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, Queen Elizabeth II‘s only daughter reportedly called Andrew.

“When it comes to relations with her middle brother [Andrew], I have learned that her approach has been notably independent-minded,” expert Richard Kay wrote for Daily Mail. “It is why many have been wondering how Anne views the crisis surrounding Andrew.”

“Until last Christmas at least, Anne was still holding a sympathetic and tolerant line towards Andrew — she apparently made a point of telephoning Royal Lodge [before Andrew was relocated], where he was still holed up, on Christmas Day when the rest of the family were at Sandringham,” the writer noted.

Anne ‘hardened’ to Andrew after his arrest

Anne has reportedly “hardened” on her sympathy for her brother after he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office while he was the U.K.’s trade envoy for allegedly giving information to Epstein.

“She has also been angry with him for his links to Jeffrey Epstein and the shadow they have cast over the royals and has questioned him about them,” the journalist alleged.
