Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, have kept a low profile since new details about their parents emerged in the latest tranche of documents to be released by the US in relation to the US financier. On Easter Sunday, their absence was notable as the rest of the Royal Family gathered in Windsor for the annual church service.
Now, a royal expert claimed that the princess may be “struggling” following her parents’ scandal.
Editor-in-Chief of Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Seward, told The Sun: “Princess Beatrice was always close to her dad and witnessing his epic downfall would have destroyed her.
“Princess Beatrice is very sensitive, and, as witnessed by her recent visit to her ostracised dad at Sandringham, she is very kind.
“She would also worry like mad about her mother, Sarah Ferguson, who has always confided in her.”
This year, Beatrice reportedly spent Easter alongside her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and his side of the family.
It comes as a source close to the York sisters recently spoke about their feelings behind their Easter absence.
A source told the Mirror that Beatrice and Eugenie are “just getting on with their lives as much as they can.”
They also revealed that while the princesses have attended the Easter Sunday church service in previous years, this year, they be “spending Easter with Edo’s family which has been planned for a long time.”
