Looks like Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are skipping the annual royal Easter celebrations amid their disgraced father, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, being evicted from his rent-free home, stripped of his titles, and arrested.
There aren’t details as to what the royal sisters are doing instead, but E! News reports that they’ve “learned” Beatrice and Eugenie “have made alternative plans.” Unclear if that was their choice or they’re being snubbed, but stay tuned?
Either way, this comes amid a ton of rumors and reports that Prince William wants to distance himself from his cousins. The Daily Mail reported back in February that William was evaluating whether or not Bea and Eugenie have “future within The Firm,” and royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told the outlet “It may fall to William to make a decision on the future of Beatrice and Eugenie. Neither are reportedly particularly close to him or to Catherine.”
He added that William “may well take a hard line when he becomes king. It depends on how affected the royal family is by what happens subsequently. There is currently the strong possibility of the cases which the police are assessing going forward and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor being arrested and very possibly put on trial. If this happens, it may be impossible for the royal family to move forward with any members of the York family attached to it.”

Yikes, okay! Though, for what it’s worth, E! reports that “the sisters had previously joined the family for Christmas and are expected to join for future family celebrations” so doesn’t look like they’re being fully cut off just yet.
