Princess Kate’s ‘aura’ during her appearance in honor of Britain’s war dead went viral on TikTok as fans celebrated her status as a future queen.
The Princess of Wales represented the royal family solo at Armistice Day Service of Remembrance at The National Memorial Arboretum, in Staffordshire, England, on November 11, 2025.
Wearing a slanted “Decima” black hat by Jane Taylor and a black coat dress by Catherine Walker, she joined veterans for a two-minute silence marking the moment the First World War ended, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Armistice Day is Britain’s equivalent of Veterans Day.

Afterward, the Princess laid a wreath bearing a handwritten message on behalf of the Royal Family: “In memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, we will remember them. Catherine.”
The TikTok post showed both moments and some footage of Kate visiting the Armed Forces Memorial wall, where names of the fallen are inscribed, where she took time to speak with veterans.
Among them was 100-year-old Geoffrey Spencer, an RAF Veteran, who flew Lancaster Bombers in World War II. Quoted by Hello!, the princess told him her son Prince George “very much likes Airfix models and the Lancaster Bomber and he knows much more about aircraft than me.”
It is rare for Kate to take on a remembrance event alone but the royals tend to focus more on a different commemoration, the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph, in London, this year on November 9, which was attended by King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Kate and Prince William.
Kate also took Prince George to the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on November 8.
In her comments, she described the Arboretum as “a place of personal reflection” that brings home the human cost of conflict.
