The Princess of Wales has completed the Three Peaks Challenge to highlight the “deeper impact of serious illness”.
The Princess, 44, completed the “personal” challenge, which involves scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon within 24 hours, over the weekend. She was photographed beaming in the fog at the top of Ben Nevis in Scotland on Saturday evening, protected from the elements in a hooded cagoule and a cap with walking poles on her back.
She walked alone, supported along the route by Mountain Rescue, and was greeted at the base of Snowdon on Sunday evening by Prince William, their three children, her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, and her brother, James Middleton.
