June 17, 2026
Radial Entertainment June 17 announced Carrie Ferman has been named chief operating officer, bringing more than 25 years of operational, strategic and financial leadership across some of the largest media companies in the world. Her appointment completes the build out of Radial’s executive team as the company enters its next phase of growth.
In her role, Ferman, who arrives at Radial after heading business strategy and operations for Sony Pictures Television (SPT), will oversee strategic growth across Radial’s operations including content distribution, technology and business functions, and will lead the integration of new acquisitions into Radial’s platform. She will also drive the cross-functional coordination required to scale the company’s 70,000-title catalog across FAST, AVOD, SVOD and TVOD platforms in more than 50 global markets.
In announcing the appointment during a keynote interview at the StreamTV Show in Denver Wednesday, Radial CEO Jeff Shultz stated, “We’ve spent the last few months assembling a team and a platform built for global scale, and Carrie is exactly the operator we needed to take it to the next level. Her experience running operations, supply chain, and M&A integration at Sony at the level she did is a direct match for where Radial is headed. Her arrival puts the finishing touch on the management infrastructure we’ve been building, and I couldn’t be more confident in where we go from here.”
“Radial has built an incredibly powerful global engine spanning every major distribution format from FAST to theatrical across 50-plus markets,” Ferman said. “The momentum behind their strategy is undeniable. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on bridging growth strategy with rigorous operational execution to drive scale, enable market expansion and maximize efficiency. I am thrilled to partner with Jeff and the entire team to realize this next chapter of global growth and operational excellence.”
At SPT, where Ferman spent 12 years, most recently as EVP of business strategy and operations, she held oversight of strategy, business development, operations, transformation and digital content distribution — scope that maps directly to Radial’s integrated model.
Her record at Sony includes the enterprise-wide modernization and automation of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s digital media supply chain, a comprehensive growth plan for FAST channels, and strategic portfolio reviews of SPT’s domestic and international production, digital and cable assets. She also executed M&A transactions and led complex post-acquisition integrations — experience directly relevant to Radial’s acquisition-driven growth strategy.
Prior to her U.S. role at Sony, Ferman served as SVP of strategy and M&A for Sony Pictures Television International in London. She oversaw the strategic planning process for 22 companies across 18 countries, with regional experience spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, and structured partnerships with top-tier creative talent and independent production companies to expand Sony’s global content pipeline. She also served as CEO of Remark Media, a publicly traded digital media company on Nasdaq, where she led a full organizational turnaround and secured an oversubscribed round of funding to position the company for expansion.
Earlier in her career, she held strategy and business development roles at NBC Universal and Time Warner after beginning her career in corporate finance at The Walt Disney Company. She holds an MBA with Honors from Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business and a BA in economics and philosophy from UCLA.
