The Punjabi entertainment industry is mourning the loss of singer Rajvir Jawanda, with an outpouring of tributes from celebrities and fans alike. From Sonam Bajwa and Gippy Grewal to Sargun Mehta and Himanshi Khurana, stars across the fraternity have expressed heartbreak over the ‘Munda Like Me’ singer’s untimely death following a tragic road accident in Himachal Pradesh.

Jawanda, known for his powerful vocals and vibrant personality, was an avid biker and often shared his passion for motorcycles on social media. His untimely death has sent shockwaves through the Punjabi film and music industry, with artists and fans alike mourning the loss of a young talent gone too soon.

Actor Sonam Bajwa wrote, “A young, talented, beautiful soul gone too soon. Rest in peace, Rajvir. You will be remembered for generations (sic).” Sargun Mehta paid tribute, saying, “Gone far too soon. Your voice will echo through Punjab forever. May Waheguru bless your soul and give strength to your family (sic).”

Himanshi Khurana also expressed her grief, posting, “Rest in peace, friend. Alvida @rajvirjawandaofficial (sic),” while Gippy Grewal shared an emotional note: “This has made my heart go empty. Waking up to this terrible news is unbearable. My brother Rajvir, your last days were so difficult, yet you showed such strength. You will forever remain in our hearts, memories, and souls (sic).”

The accident occurred on September 27 in the Baddi area of Solan district while Jawanda was riding his BMW adventure bike to Shimla. According to reports, he lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a car, suffering severe head and spinal injuries. He was initially admitted to Shaurya Hospital and later shifted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where he remained in critical condition until his death.

Fortis Hospital confirmed the news in an official statement:

“Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away at 10:55 am on October 8, 2025, at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. He was admitted on September 27 in an extremely critical condition following a road accident that caused severe spinal injuries and brain damage. Despite extensive medical support and continuous monitoring by the Critical Care and Neurosurgery teams, he succumbed to multiple organ failure this morning. Our deepest condolences to his family and fans.”

Earlier during his concert in Hong Kong, Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh paused the music to send out a heartfelt prayer for fellow singer-actor Rajvir Jawanda, who is battling for his life after a serious bike accident. Addressing thousands of fans, Diljit urged them to keep Rajvir in their prayers, calling him “a very dear brother” and “a beautiful singer.”

From chart-topping tracks to his grounded charm, Rajvir Jawanda’s legacy continues to resonate deeply with those who loved his voice.
