It looks like Rascal Flatts is taking a page out of Taylor Swift’s cryptic social media post playbook.
In Swift-like fashion, the beloved country music band shared a photo of themselves on Instagram on Tuesday with the intriguing caption, “What do you think we’re talking about? 🤔 You’ll find out tomorrow!”
What the band intends to announce is anyone’s guess. Rascal Flatts released Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets in June 2025, their first studio record since the band’s break up in 2021. The album was a nostalgic tribute to their past hits, which they re-recorded alongside nine other artists. But as for new music? It’s been a while.
The band kicked off their Life Is a Highway reunion tour on February 13, 2025, and they’ve since played 30 shows with one more scheduled at the end of the month.
So, what’s the news?!
Not surprisingly, fans raced to the comments to share their best guesses as to what the mysterious message might mean.
“NEW SONG,” commented one hopeful fan.
“How to do a collab with Taylor 🧡 jk jk,” wrote a Swiftie, who very possibly took note of the Swift-style post.
“Hoping for a new album been too long since we got new music from you guys,” commented another.
“TOUR!!” exclaimed yet another fan who simply can’t wait to find out what the band plans to announce on Wednesday.
Audiences were devastated when Rascal Flatts called it quits in 2021, but the band’s recent reunion has been everything fans wanted and more.
In a 2024 interview with Taste of Country, Joe Don Rooney, Jay DeMarcus, and Gary LeVox, collectively known as Rascal Flatts, admitted that it was the first time that the trio had been in a room together in five years.
“We’ve communicated obviously through text and through emails and our management, but this is the first time. It’s wild,” said Rooney.
Despite the distance, it was as if no time had passed once the trio got back on the stage.
Now fans are left to wonder: What’s next for Rascal Flatts? Is it another break up? Or, is it yet another new beginning?
