GLEN FALLS, N.Y. – Host Adirondack scored three unanswered goals in the first and second periods en route to a 4-2 win over Reading on Saturday night at Harding Mazzotti Arena.
Hunter Johannes put the Royals in front just 1-0 into the contest but the Thunder scored three straight to take a 3-1 lead into the third.
Reading’s Carson Golder scored 7:21 into the third quarter to cut the deficit to one, but Adirondack added an empty net goal in the final minute to close it out.
The Royals are idle until they begin a three-game series in Florida beginning on Dec. 27.
