The General Jackson Showboat is launching new dining and entertainment experiences heading into the spring.
The Gaylord Opryland Resort attraction has already introduced its new Southern Nights evening dinner cruise. The Nashville LIVE midday lunch cruise is scheduled to launch on March 7.
Both festivities are taking place in the Showboat’s Victorian Theater.
The Southern Nights dinner cruise, scheduled to leave the dock at 7 p.m. each night, boasts a showcase of Southern culture, featuring powerful vocalists, dancers, and a live band performing soulful ballads and timeless classics.
The evening is elevated with an immersive lighting setup, multimedia displays and a culinary-focused buffet.
The lunch cruise—Nashville LIVE—is set to leave the dock at noon each day and presents a spread of Southern dishes, along with a musical journey across 75 years of country music history.
From the hits of Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline to contemporary favorites from Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson, guests can expect a dose of nostalgia complemented by a versatile eight-piece show band.
The band, complete with a fiddle, piano, mandolin, and guitar, revives Music City’s sounds with harmonious performances, choreography, and state-of-the-art effects.
Highlighting the range of experiences on the spring slate, the Showboat will also feature its first Mother’s Day Brunch Cruise on May 10, departing at noon.
Families are invited to celebrate with a specially curated buffet, followed by a performance of Nashville LIVE set against picturesque river views.
Every trip on the Showboat promises gourmet menus designed by the award-winning culinary team of the Gaylord Opryland Resort, featuring live entertainment, accomplished vocalists, dynamic choreography, and up-to-date lighting and sound design.
The new slate of programs comes as a celebration of the Showboat’s more than 40-year history and its commitment to bringing ‘the magic of Nashville’ to thousands of guests by water.
