Lisa Vanderpump has hit out at Prince Harry, claiming he’s not “a loyal Brit” following his relocation to the US five years ago.

The TV star, who gained fame as a main cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from 2010 until 2019, made the comment while attending Bravocon in Las Vegas.

Just like Harry, Lisa comes from England but lives in the US, after moving with her husband in the 2000s.

However, the 65-year-old reality TV personality has claimed that while she is “a loyal Brit,” Harry isn’t.

Lisa shared her thoughts after Bravo fan Jerry O’Connell kicked off a panel discussion at Bravocon by noting his wife Rebecca Romijn recently flew on a plane with the Duke of Sussex.

Jerry said, “My wife said, ‘Yeah, it was exciting, [but] not as exciting [as] when Lisa Vanderpump sat two rows back.'”

Lisa quickly hit back, saying, “Well, I’m a loyal Brit. He isn’t, right? Come on, you know, I’m telling the truth.”

Despite growing up in the UK, Lisa relocated to the US where she has opened a string of successful restaurants with her husband, Ken Todd.

She said she considers Beverly Hills her home, but she also loves Las Vegas, where she manages restaurants.

“I love Vegas,” she said. “I think it’s the playground of the world, and growing up in London, in a suburb, when you’d come to Vegas, you’d never see anything like it.

“I still think it’s like that. It’s innovative, it’s moving forward, I feel safe here [and] it’s got this incredible energy.”

Harry and Meghan moved to the US after stepping down as senior royals in January 2020 and now live in Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Despite admitting he likes living in the US, the prince has also expressed that he misses certain aspects of his homeland – including shared memories with his estranged brother, Prince William.

In a moving essay penned ahead of Remembrance Day, Harry voiced his pride in serving his country and highlighted the ease with which veterans can be overlooked “once the uniform comes off.”

King Charles’ younger son, a former soldier who completed two tours on the frontlines in Afghanistan, also spoke of the honor of serving alongside individuals from all across the UK.

He urged people to remember “not only the fallen, but the living” who bear the “weight of war,” and encouraged them to reach out to veterans, inviting them to a “join them for a cuppa…or a pint,” to listen to their stories and “remind them their service still matters.”

In a heartfelt essay titled The Bond, The Banter, The Bravery: What it means to be British, Harry expressed his enduring love for his homeland.

He wrote, “Though currently, I may live in the United States, Britain is, and always will be, the country I proudly served and fought for.

“The banter of the mess, the clubhouse, the pub, the stands – ridiculous as it sounds, these are the things that make us British. I make no apology for it. I love it.”

Communications expert Judi James shared with The Mirror her belief that Harry’s words reveal more about his feelings towards his home country and his estranged family than he might have intended.

“Despite his normally constant adherence to his love of his life in the US, Harry sounds like a man still yearning for what he calls the ‘Banter of the mess, clubhouse, pubs, the stands,'” Judi noted. “Harry was a man who grew up and cut his teeth on banter, especially with his brother William.”

She added, “Interviews back in the day show their banter together was relentless and there is a suggestion that in promoting the word so strongly and emphatically here Harry is implying (perhaps subconsciously) how much he misses his older brother.

“Montecito always looks like a banter-free zone, which is why we tend to see Harry so much in his element during Invictus when he has an endless supply of ex-military heroes to exchange banter with.”
