Tyce Delk to release new EP ‘Everything But Gone’ this month

Four artists walk into an ice cream shop, and it’s no joke!

To get to the gallery you must go in the Treats ice cream shop, the stairs are in the back of the room. The top room long ago was a tea room.

We all felt it was time there were more galleries in Nevada City. We all are friends and our guest artists will be 3D work for now. It’s smaller and intimate. The one unique factor is we have created a work space so each of us can work there while we are open. It’s all new for the four of us, though Kathryn Wronski has been at Art Works Gallery for many years. Kathryn will be here now only, and Mark Wilcox and Jerianne Van Dijk will now be a part of both galleries.

We have lots of originals, giclées, a print bin and cards.

Meet the artists

Jerianne Van Dijk: For the past 35 years, my work as an artist, illustrator, and muralist has been deeply rooted in Nevada County lifestyle and society. My creative foundation was built over many years as a ghost illustrator for a New York designer and through extensive work for print shops and publications. Today, I have transitioned to focus on sharing my own original visions. My portfolio spans fine art watercolors and various other mediums to the expansive scale of public murals.

Peggy Wright: My artwork is a collage—pieced together from a life lived across diverse landscapes, communities, and creative roles. Having lived in seven different states, I draw from a wide range of environments and cultural experiences that continue to inform my visual language. My path has moved through many facets of the art world: as an art educator (K-12), artist-in-residence, arts administrator (10 years) working under grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, exhibiting gallery artist (in PA, FL, MA, MD, DE, TX, & CA), and now as a co-owner of an art gallery, The Red Dot Gallery on Main in Nevada City. Each role has deepened my understanding of how art connects people, place, and story.

Kathryn Wronski: For over 25 years, Kathryn Wronski has been capturing the spirit of pets both locally and nationwide. Using a vibrant palette, she uses bold color to define each animal’s unique personality. While she has moved away from commissions, animals remain her favorite subject; she now enjoys the creative freedom of choosing her own muses, from ravens to rabbits. Born and raised in Boston, Kathryn grew up surrounded by the colors of her family’s flower business. She credits her father—whose work featured a “European look” with strong colors and a loose, creative style—for teaching her the fundamentals of composition from a very young age.

Mark Wilcox: Mark Wilcox is a California landscape painter working in oil, with an approach centered on atmosphere, memory, and the emotional resonance of place. His paintings draw inspiration from the shifting light, weather, and topography of the California landscape, translating observed scenes into quiet, evocative works that value mood as much as representation. Rather than treating nature as spectacle, he approaches it as a source of stillness, reverence, and personal reflection.
