Reese Witherspoon & Lexi Minetree Lead ‘Elle’ Premiere Celeb Style

Reese Witherspoon and Lexi Minetree went full Elle Woods inspiration with their looks at the “Elle” premiere in New York City on Tuesday night.

Witherspoon wore a custom Monse look that wholly channeled her “Legally Blonde” character. The Oscar-winning actress’ dress was comprised of pink lace and featured semi-sheer fabric beneath the botanical motifs throughout the delicate material. A formfitting silhouette and cinched waist was juxtaposed by off-the-shoulder voluminous sleeves.

The actress also wore a pair of strappy Christian Louboutain sandal heels and accessorized her look with Tiffany & Co. earrings. Hairstylist Lona Maria Vigi coiffed Witherspoon’s hair with a side part worn straight. Makeup artist Tracey Levy utilized Beauty Pie products for the actress’ luminous visage. Petra Flannery styled Witherspoon’s look.

While Witherspoon evoked a mature Elle Woods interpretation, Lexi Minetree’s custom Betsey Johnson dress was wholly princess-oriented. The strapless gown was crafted with a fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline and drop waist with bows at the hips and a flowing, voluminous ballgown skirt.

Crafted in plush pink tone, the dress also featured jeweled elements near the neckline and on the bust of the dress. As for accessories, Minetree sparkled in a diamond necklace, ring and earrings courtesy of Bulgari.

Minetree’s hair continued the princess motif with a half-pulled-back, half-down style and cascading curls with wisps of hair to frame her face by stylist Florencia Anahi. Makeup artist Jennifer Powell provided Minetree’s look with serene elements for a youthful glow.

Witherspoon and Minetree’s respective looks for Tuesday night’s “Elle” premiere encapsulated the two Elle Woods actress’ approach to the character. While Witherspoon’s attire took a more refined approach to Elle’s vibrant pink wardrobe from the 2001 film “Legally Blonde,” Minetree’s new approach to the role brought youthful verve and playful energy.

“Elle” is a prequel series to “Legally Blonde” and follows the titular character, played by Minetree, through her formative high school years. The series debuts July 1 on Prime Video.
