Albany, NY (WRGB) — The Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York’s 31st Annual CHEFS fundraiser brought some of the Capital Region’s top chefs to the Albany Capital Center Wednesday.
Those celebrity chefs were joined by farmers, producers, and other culinary professionals to raise funds for the food bank. Menu items featured locally grown produce and other ingredients, prepared by Chefs Billy Trudsoe, Noah Frese, Miles Murphy, and Gordon Finn.
The fundraiser was moved to the Capital Center due to growing ticket demand.
Longtime CBS6 anchor Liz Bishop was recognized Wednesday night for her work with the station’s Backpack Heroes program, a phone-bank fundraiser that continues to raise money for student meals each fall.
