Releasing posthumously, Ikkis doesn’t just mark Agastya Nanda’s debut on the big screen; it is also Dharmendra’s final film. Following his death a mere month ago on November 24, 2025, a special screening was held for the premiere of the movie.
There were many celebrities, including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Rekha, and Salman Khan, who attended the event to not only celebrate this big moment for Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson and Akshay Kumar’s niece, but also honour the passing of the He-Man of Bollywood.

Rekha Kissed Agastya Nanda’s Photo on the Red Carpet
During the special screening of Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis, Rekha flaunted down the red carpet and found herself gushing over the massive photos of Dharmendra, who plays K. L. Khetarpal in the film, and Agastya Nanda, who plays Arun Khetarpal. While it may be a sweet gesture, what struck fans as odd was how she kissed the latter’s photo.
She honoured Dharmendra by joining her hands in front of his photo and fondly giving a flying kiss. For Nanda’s photo, she caressed it and kissed it in an almost personal manner.

This wouldn’t necessarily be a problem had Nanda not been Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson. Her controversies and affair rumours with the Coolie actor are already endless and unsurprisingly, fans see her gesture as an allusion to that.
Ikkis’ Special Screening was a Celeb Fest
The special premiere, held in order to honour Dharmendra’s life and recent death, was filled with celebrities. Held in Mumbai on December 29, 2026, the screeners featured many actors including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Abhay Deol.
Initially supposed to release on December 25, 2025, the premiere of the film was pushed to January 1, 2026. The guestlist also included Salman Khan, Rekha, Jeetendra. Ratna Pathak and Naseeruddin Shah were also present, whose son, Vivaan Shah, is also in the film.
Tabu, Vijay Varma, Ameesha Patel, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, Tiger Shroff, Fardeen Khan, Manish Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Randeep Hooda, and Jaya Prada were also present. The movie also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Simran Bhatia.
