Riley Green fans likely have new music to look forward to this year, with the country star revealing that he has plenty of songs ready to go for his next album. Speaking to Holler, Green shared that he has “probably 17 to 20 songs right now that I’m ready to put on another record.”

“It’s a really cool time to have so many eyes and ears on you,” he added, referencing the new wave of success he’s experienced since his smash duet with Ella Langley, “you look like you love me.” That song arrived around one year before Green’s most recent album, Don’t Mind If I Do, which continued his hot streak with hits like the title track, another chart-topping Langley collaboration, and “Worst Way.”

“I never really stopped writing,” Green revealed of his creative process in between projects. “For me, it’s not like you have an album like Don’t Mind If I Do that does well, and you go, ‘Okay, I can relax.’ It’s more the opposite. Things are going really well, and I want to go write more songs.”

Green has never been one to take much of a pause between releasing new songs, explaining that he’s simply so excited when he creates something new that he wants to share with fans as soon as he can. “Man, I think I’m in a place where – and I’ve always done this – when I write a song, I’m excited about it, and I want to share it,” he said.

The 37-year-old singer/songwriter continued, “Often, I put the whole song out there. Sometimes it may just be a little clip, but for me, it’s just [making the most of it] while people are listening – and my audience has never been bigger than it is right now.”

Green shipped his latest single, “Change My Mind,” to country radio earlier this month. As for any new material that might arrive this year, the singer said that he doesn’t feel pressure to recreate the success of previous songs, but instead feels “motivation to try something a little different.”

“As a songwriter, I’ve certainly got my lane, and it’s a pretty obvious there’s a theme that I like to write from,” he said, though he noted that he still wants to explore new areas as time goes on. “I think to continue to have a career that grows, you’ve got to push the envelope a little bit, push your comfort zone and get outside the box a little bit,” he said. “It’s a fine line to stay true to yourself, and to be able to do something a little different. So ‘Worst Way’ was my attempt at that, and it certainly worked pretty well for me.”

“So I think that I’ll always try to find that place and write from that place,” Green added. “Hopefully my next album will be similar to this one.”

In late 2025, Green told his record label that fans will likely hear some new music around the time he launches his Cowboy As It Gets Tour in April.

“We’re going to be playing a lot of the songs that, you know, I’ve played for years that kinda got us here, and then some brand-new songs off the last album,” he said, “and then also puttin’ out some music, hopefully here pretty soon, that we’ll be playing some brand-new songs.”

Produced by Live Nation, Riley Green’s Cowboy As It Gets Tour launches on April 16 at Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi, and will find the country hitmaker visiting arena and amphitheaters across the United States. The trek will feature direct support from Justin Moore as well as special guests Drake White, Mackenzie Carpenter, Zach John King, Hannah McFarland, and Adam Hood appearing on select dates.
